Admission

What should you bring? What type of room can you choose from? Whom should you inform about your admission? What can you expect during your hospital stay? How is the payment carried out?

Day admission

Specific guidelines often apply to day hospitalisation. Ask your doctor about them or consult them on the pages related to your day hospitalisation unit (Daghospitalisatie).

Virus circulation is currently very low.
Wearing a face mask is not mandatory.
However, do wear a face mask in the following situations:
- You've got symptoms of a cold.
- You are particularly susceptible to infections.
- You're visiting a patient that is particularly susceptible to infections.

Care

Whom will you meet during your stay? When are blood samples taken? How do we conduct scientific research using residual material and tissues? What about organ donation?

Privacy and your patient record

Who uses your patient record? What GDPR rights do you have? How do you determine who has access to your record? Do you yourself have access to it? What about privacy and the processing of your personal and medical data? How are camera images used and stored?

Your rights as a patient are established by the Patients’ Rights Act of 2002, amended in 2024.

High-quality care

What do we do to make healthcare as safe and high-quality as possible? How do we involve you as a patient in your care? What are your rights as a patient? And what about privacy and your medical file?

Facilities

Read about the facilities on every campus and in your room.

Can you smoke in hospital? What about alcohol? Are pets allowed? Are you allowed to film or take photos in the hospital? Read our house rules.
