Interested in life without glasses? Take the Quickscan.

Would you like to know whether you are eligible for life without glasses? Take the ‘Quickscan’: a screening test consisting of a few brief technical eye examinations and a short questionnaire. Quick, painless and completely without obligation.

What does the Quickscan involve?

What to bring

Please bring the following items with you for the Quickscan:

  • Proof of identity
  • Your current glasses
  • Smartphone

On the day

On the day of your appointment, come to the ophthalmology consultation: oranje straat, poort 2, niveau 3, wachtzaal B.

You will receive a digital questionnaire via the mynexuzhealth app. You can complete it while you wait. Not finished when it is your turn? You can simply complete the questionnaire later.

Our staff will measure your eyes accurately. These tests are safe and painless, and do not affect your vision.

Results

During the Quickscan, you will not see an ophthalmologist. However, once you are back home and after you have completed the digital questionnaire, the results will be interpreted and assessed by an ophthalmologist.

The conclusion of the Quickscan is recorded in a report. You can view this report yourself within 2 to 4 weeks after your appointment via the mynexuzhealth app or website, in the ‘Reports’ module.

You will be informed of the result and, if you are eligible, you will be invited to schedule a follow-up appointment with the ophthalmologist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you aged 65 or over? Make an appointment for the general consultation instead of the Quickscan. During this general consultation, an ophthalmologist will first check whether you have a cataract, or cloudy lens.

No, you may continue wearing your contact lenses, both on the day of the Quickscan and in the days before it. However, you will need to remove them briefly during the examinations.

For the Quickscan, only the technical examinations are charged. These examinations are almost fully reimbursed by the health insurance fund if you are affiliated with a Belgian health insurance fund. In that case, you pay only 6 euros.

Yes, even if you do not yet use mynexuzhealth, either the app or the website, you can book an appointment for a Quickscan through our contact centre.

The digital questionnaire will be provided via mynexuzhealth.

The Quickscan is completely without obligation. Even if treatment options are available, you are not obliged to have your eyes treated.

Once you have completed the questionnaire in full, you will receive a message within 2 to 4 weeks stating whether or not you are eligible, and for which treatment.

You can find this information in your mynexuzhealth file under ‘Reports’.

Because eyes continue to change later in life, it is important that we have recent measurements. The results of the Quickscan therefore remain valid for 12 months.

The safety of your eyes comes first. As a result, not everyone is eligible for laser treatment. In addition to laser treatment, we also offer many other treatment options at our centre. If you are not eligible, we will be happy to see whether we can help you in another way.

The Quickscan only includes a few eye measurements to see whether you are eligible for refractive treatment. You will then be informed of the result, after which you can book a follow-up appointment for further discussion.

During this second appointment, you can ask all your questions and you will receive information about the cost. This information cannot yet be provided during the Quickscan itself.
