Pet visits

A stay in hospital is already a major event in itself. Having to miss your faithful four-legged friend for several weeks often causes extra sadness, for both the pet and its owner.

So this is good news for dog and cat owners: anyone staying in hospital for a week or longer can now receive a cuddly visit in UZ Leuven’s pet visiting room.

Your healthy dog or cat can come into the visiting room from outside, together with up to three visitors. A volunteer will collect you from your ward and accompany you to the pet visiting room, which has a closed indoor and outdoor area where your animal can walk around freely.
