Sustainable art project with Museum M in the children’s hospital

UZ Leuven and M Leuven are convinced that art and creativity play an important role in the healing process of sick children and can add real value for sick children and young people, their families and the caregivers.

A dedicated Muze room, located at the heart of the children’s hospital, invites creativity through interactive encounters, workshops and exhibitions with various artists and performers.

The Muze room makes it possible to exhibit the children’s creative works, so that parents and friends can share in the experience. At other times, works from M-museum are also shown and explained to children within the hospital.

In this way, art becomes the ultimate means of communication between patients and their loved ones, caregivers and artists, and between the hospital and the museum.

A sustainable and professional collaboration

The art project enjoys broad support within UZ Leuven, M – Museum Leuven and the City of Leuven. Together with M – Museum Leuven as its artistic partner in both substance and creativity, UZ Leuven aims to further develop the project in a professional and sustainable way.
