Histaruz closes its doors
After nearly ten years in its familiar surroundings of the Cancer Institute on the Sint-Rafaël campus, Histaruz closes its doors. Over the coming years, the entire hospital site between Brusselsestraat, Kapucijnenvoer and Minderbroedersstraat will be making room for the Hertogen site, a new sustainable urban district in Leuven. Over the summer of 2020, the museum will be emptied to safely store and preserve the entire heritage collection. How, where and when Histaruz will reopen in the future is still being assessed.
The group of 20 enthusiast volunteers want to thank everyone for their interest in this particular bit of history. They very much hope to welcome you again in the future, in a different location.
