Lodging in the maternity ward

We encourage the presence of the partner with the new mother and her newborn baby. If the mother is staying in a single room, it is possible for you to stay in the room with the mother and your newborn child after the birth as well as have breakfast there.

Caring for your baby together

The presence of the partner allows nighttime care to be shared between the parents.

This way, both the mother and her partner will get to know the baby better and enjoy their new parenthood. So use this opportunity to support the mother and baby during the night.

Practical arrangements

However, the maternity ward is not a hotel. A maternity ward is a place where mothers and babies rest and recover from pregnancy and childbirth. Since it is important that the new mother's and baby's rest is not compromised and that we can give our normal care, we kindly insist you adhere to certain arrangements.

Breakfast

  • You may request this at the maternity ward. You can put together your breakfast for the next day if you order your meal before 2pm.
  • If the order is not cancelled in time, it will still be charged. Cancelling breakfast must be done the night before.
  • May we also ask you to put the tray back in the meal cart in the corridor afterwards.
  • Costs will be charged via the hospital bill.

Overnight stays

  • This is only possible in single rooms.
  • Please provide appropriate nightwear.
  • To ensure the peace and quiet of all mothers and babies, kindly be present in the hospital no later than 9pm.
  • In order not to hinder the operation of the maternity ward, we kindly ask you to make your bed by 9am yourself and to be dressed and freshened up. This will allow us to care for mother and child unhindered.

Price

Both breakfast and overnight stay will be charged through the hospital bill.
