Can I connect a headset or earphones?
Yes, you can. Bring your own earphones or purchase one for €5. Please note: Bluetooth connection is not possible, only a wired headset (with a jack plug) can be connected. It is not possible to rent a headset for hygiene reasons.
Can I connect a keyboard?
Yes, you can. When you are surfing the Internet, you may also use the built-in keyboard that you can switch on or off via the icon.
Where are the numbers and the dot on the keyboard?
First press the Shift key (upward arrow). On the screen that then appears, the dot is at the bottom right and the numbers are at the top.
Can I turn on subtitles on my TV?
Yes — provided that the programme you are watching is subtitled via teletext. While watching TV, switch on subtitles by clicking the speech-bubble icon at the top right and then choose your language.
Can I check my e-mails?
Yes. You can go online and check your mails – for example Gmail or Hotmail.
Can I view my medical record?
Yes. Tap “Your stay” and then “Your record”. You’ll arrive at a page with more information about mynexuz health where you can log in with Itsme or a Nexuz Health-code card.
Can I attend the church services in the chapel or follow them on this screen?
Would you like to, on Sunday or a public holiday:
- receive Holy Communion?
- attend the service in the chapel (Gasthuisberg campus)?
Or would you like to speak with a pastoral care worker?
You can easily arrange this via the screen in your room.
Here is how to do it:
- Go to the second page of the Octopuz screen.
- Click on one of the following buttons:
- Conversation with a pastoral care worker
- Holy Communion on Sunday
- Attend the service on Sunday or a public holiday
Your request will automatically be forwarded to the pastoral care department.
Volunteers will assist you if transport to the chapel is needed.
