Rooming in on paediatric wards

As a parent, you can stay overnight in your child's room in most cases. This is called rooming in.

1 adult

For safety reasons, rooming in is possible for a maximum of 1 parent. It is also possible for someone other than a parent to room in. It must be an adult, and one of the parents will let the nurse know in advance who the person is.

Facilities

Single rooms are equipped with a fixed single sofa bed. A mobile sofa bed can be provided in double rooms.

Bed linen is provided on the unit; please bring your own towels and toiletries.

Price

If you stay overnight in your room, you will pay the following prices for lodging and meals.

  Standard
Lodging per night € 13
Breakfast € 10,79
Lunch € 17,71
Dinner € 10,51

As an accompanying parent, you can order meals for yourself via the interactive Octopuz screen in the room.

If rooming in is not possible

In some situations, rooming in with your child is not possible. This is the case, for example, if your child is in the intensive care unit or after a stem cell transplant. As a parent, you can then use accommodation in (the vicinity of) the hospital.

      • accompanying your child to examinations or the operating room
