The entrance is at Kapucijnenvoer no. 7 (close to the corner of Brusselsestraat).

By car, it is not possible to reach Brusselsestraat from Kapucijnenvoer because there is an ANPR camera. If you drive on to the entrance, you will be fined by the city of Leuven.
We advise you to use the pay parking on the Sint-Jacobsplein, which is a 5-minute walk from the hospital.

By bus or train

Leuven train station is approximately two kilometers from the hospital.

Buses leave every ten minutes to the Sint-Rafaël campus. The bus stop is situated near the main entrance of the hospital.

Via E314 coming from Limburg

  • Take exit 18 'Herent - Leuven'.
  • Go to R23 Leuven outerring
  • Turn left onto Kapucijnenvoer.
  • There is no parking on campus Sint-Rafaël. Use the pay parking on the Sint-Jacobsplein.
  • Keep in mind that you cannot reach Brusselsestraat from Kapucijnenvoer (due to ANPR camera).
Road description E314 coming from Limburg

  • Take exit 15 'Leuven'.
  • Follow Koning Boudewijnlaan in the direction of Leuven.

Parking for bike and car

Bicycle

A public bicycle stand is located in front of the entrance.

Car

There is no parking on campus Sint-Rafaël. Use the pay parking on the Sint-Jacobsplein near the hospital, a five minute walk from the hospital.

Preferably pay via SMS. This way, you can easily extend your parking session from a distance.

Bringing and picking up people - kiss-and-ride zones

There are two kiss-and-ride zones where patients can be picked up and dropped off. Move your car immediately after the patient gets out.

Kapucijnenvoer no. 33

  • At 90 m from the hospital entrance

  • When you leave the car park, turn back and do not drive straight on to the Brusselsestraat. Every vehicle entering the Brusselsestraat from Kapucijnenvoer is registered by an ANPR camera of the city of Leuven and fined.

Kapucijnenvoer no. 7

  • Accessible only for the less mobile

  • Right in front of the hospital entrance

  • When you register at the hospital with the front desk staff, make sure to pass on the vehicle's registration plate. If not, the city of Leuven will send the driver a fine as a result of the ANPR camera set up at the entrance. Fines can only be undone for the less mobile.
