Check-up examinations during and after proton therapy

During the radiation

Every week or every two weeks you can get an appointment with the radiotherapist or a physician-specialist in training, following your radiation. He will check how well you tolerate the radiation and you will have the opportunity to ask questions or to ask for certificates and prescriptions.

After the radiation

On the last day of the radiation treatment, you will get an appointment for the next follow-up with the referring physician. You will continue to be monitored, to follow-up on the effect of your treatment. Every year you will get an appointment with the radiotherapist from the proton therapy centre.

If you feel unwell in the days after the end of the radiation, or if you are worried about certain issues, you can request an earlier appointment after consulting with your GP.
