Preparing a video consultation

A video consultation is a long-distance consultation with your care provider. The consultation is done via your computer or smartphone through mynexuzhealth. You do not need to come to the hospital.

When the doctor decides that your consultation can be replaced by a video consultation, you will be informed.

Via the website

What do you need?

Log in

  • Lastly, a quarter of an hour before the consultation, log in at mynexuzhealth.com (see manual).
  • About a quarter of an hour before the consultation, you will receive a message via mynexuzhealth.com that a video consultation is scheduled.
  • Click on ‘Let us know you're here’ to confirm that you are in attendance. You are now placed in the (online) waiting room.
  • Stay by your computer and do not exit mynexuzhealth.com: the consultation may start at any time.

Start the consultation

  • The doctor will call you via mynexuzhealth.com.
  • Click on the green telephone to answer the call.
  • Does your browser ask permission to use the camera and microphone? Then click on ‘Allow’.

During the consultation

  • Do not navigate away to another website: otherwise you will lose the connection with the doctor.
  • It is possible to click on and view the various elements in your case file (e.g. reports and questionnaires).

End of consultation

  • The doctor him/herself concludes the consultation.
  • If you wish to conclude the consultation, then click on the red telephone.

Upon completion

  • Log out to securely store your data.

Via the app

What do you need?

  • Smartphone or tablet
    • Android (version 5 or higher)
    • iOS (iPhone, iPad) (version 11 or higher)
  • mynexuzhealth app: installed and activated (Not yet been activated? Please resolve this at least one week before the video consultation). You can find the application in the Google Play Store and in the App Store.
  • Internet, preferably a WiFi connection.
  • Give permission to use the built-in webcam, speakers and microphone during the video consultation.

Log in

  • Lastly, a quarter of an hour before the consultation, log in to the app.
  • About a quarter of an hour before the consultation, you will receive a message via the mynexuzhealth app that a video consultation is scheduled.
  • Click on ‘Let us know you're here’ to confirm that you are in attendance. You are now placed in the (online) waiting room.
  • Hold your smartphone or tablet close at hand and do not exit the app: the consultation may start at any time.

  • The doctor will call you via the mynexuzhealth app.
  • Click on the green telephone to answer the call.

During the consultation

  • It is possible to click on and view the various elements in your case file (e.g. reports and questionnaires).

End of consultation

  • The doctor him/herself concludes the consultation.
  • If you wish to conclude the consultation, then click on the red telephone.

Upon completion

  • Log out to securely store your data.

Have you received an email or letter with a personal code for the video consultation? (The email comes from the address noreply@nexuzhealth.com and has ‘Video consultation’ as the subject.)

You don’t need to install any programs in advance.

What do you need?

  • Computer, tablet or smartphone with internet connection, webcam, speakers and microphone

Log in

  • There is a link in the email or letter that you received. Log in a quarter of an hour before the consultation using the link on your computer, tablet or smartphone.
  • Then enter your details:
    • Your code (see email or letter)
    • Date of birth (of the patient)
  • Click on the ‘Let us know you're here’ button to confirm that you are in attendance. You are now placed in the (online) waiting room.
  • Do not leave the web page, stay by your computer, tablet or smartphone: the consultation may start at any time.

Start the consultation

  • The doctor will call you. You will hear a ring tone and in the window you will see the name of the healthcare professional.
  • Click on the green telephone to answer the call.
  • To see and hear the healthcare professional on your computer, you grant permission (once only) to use the microphone and camera. This permission is requested in a separate (pop-up) window. If you do not grant permission, then you can only chat with the healthcare professional.

During the consultation

  • You can (temporarily) switch the camera and/or microphone off and on by clicking on the associated icons.
  • You can open and close the chat window by clicking on the speech bubble.
  • Do not navigate away to another website: otherwise you will lose the connection with the doctor.

End of consultation

  • The doctor him/herself concludes the consultation.
  • If you wish to conclude the consultation, then click on the red telephone.
