Ring Zuid closed between Toegang Oost and the Emergency Department
Ring Zuid is currently closed.
It is not possible to drive from the Het Teken roundabout via Ring Zuid all the way to exit 16 of the E314.
Route to Parking Oost and Parking West
You can reach Parking Oost:
- from the Het Teken roundabout without disruption;
- from the Gasthuisberg exit (E314) via Ring Noord and the Het Teken roundabout.
You can reach Parking West:
- from the Het Teken roundabout via Ring Noord without disruption;
- from the Gasthuisberg exit (E314) without disruption.
Follow the on-site signage.
Kiss-and-Ride at Toegang Oost temporarily relocated from 16 June
The Kiss-and-Ride near Toegang Oost will be temporarily relocated from 16 June. The walking distance to the entrance will be longer and there will be fewer stopping places.
This Kiss-and-Ride is reserved for people with reduced mobility.
Those who are able to move around easily are encouraged to use Parking Oost or Parking West, where parking is free for the first 30 minutes.
The route to the Kiss-and-Ride at Toegang Oost remains unchanged:
- from the Het Teken roundabout, the Kiss-and-Ride remains accessible;
- from the Gasthuisberg exit (E314), follow Ring Noord and the Het Teken roundabout.
New bus lane partially opened
The new bus lane, which will eventually serve as a separate route with two bus stops, is now partially open in one direction: from the Het Teken roundabout towards the Emergency Dept.
The bus stops are not yet in use.
Temporary route to the Emergency Dept. via the newly opened bus lane
Temporary route to the Emergency Department:
- Coming from roundabout Het Teken:
(1) follow the new bus lane.
(2) take a sharp turn right at the crossroad Berg Taborweg - Coming from the E314 highway:
At the Vogelzang roundabout, follow the signs southwards ("Zuid").
Signage is provided on site for both routes.
Bus stop unchanged
The bus stop remains in its current location, near Toegang Oost, next to the glass walkway.
Signage is in place between the bus stop and Toegang Oost.
Current traffic situation on map
From 3 June 2025 onwards, Ring Zuid will be closed. The Emergency Department will remain accessible via the newly opened one-way bus lane from the Het Teken roundabout.
The roadworks are part of the redesign of Ring Zuid, which includes Toegang Oost, the bus station, and the Emergency Department.
