Memory clinic
The memory clinic at the University Hospitals Leuven aims to offer help to adult patients with a progressive loss of memory, language, concentration or visual recognition or changes in behaviour or personality.
The conditions most commonly seen at the memory clinic are:
- Alzheimer's disease
- Frontotemporal degeneration
- Lewy body disease
- Vascular cognitive impairment
- Post-traumatic cognitive disorders
- Mood disorders
The memory clinic is embedded in a range of structures that are in place to help patients living at home with a cognitive deficit. The patient's family doctor has a key part to play in these.
