Research has shown that the cholinesterase inhibitor 'Rivastigmine', if given over a period of about two years, has a beneficial effect on both cognitive function and hallucinations.
Nevertheless it is important to be cautious with medication, because patients with Lewy body disease are often very sensitive to side-effects.
